Prophesy and the Gift of Prophesy
God is eager to give you the Gift of Prophesy so that you can grow in greater intimacy and oneness with Him as you learn His heart, ways and thoughts. We are about to see a great move of God that saves and sanctifies and we will see Him use this gift to be a foundation of fellowship and oneness with the Holy Spirit and to know God.
“And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.
Joel 2:28 NKJV
One of the greatest promises in God’s word, that is a result of what Christ Jesus accomplished, is contained in a promise found in Joel 2:28-32 and proclaimed by Peter in Acts 2 as having been activated. This promise was given via a prophesy and that promise is now in effect.
God desires to see this prophesy, promise and gift released into the life of all believers. The verse says ALL flesh, this isn’t a select few, or those selected to operate in this gifting. This is a promise that ALL his children are intended to receive and live with this great and intimate gift that God gives us by His Spirit, so we can hear and see His ways and know Him in intimate and personal ways that we could not know if His Spirit was not using this gift inside of us. His promise declares it.
Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
I Corinthians 14:1 NKJV
And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. II Peter 1:19-21 NKJV
How do we receive a promise from God? Jesus declares:
“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Luke 11:9-10 NKJV
He wants us to ask and seek and knock, and He promises that He will respond. Sometimes we knock on a door of a house and don’t get an answer immediately. We knock a second or third time and get a response on subsequent knocks. If we quit on the first knock, the door wouldn’t have been opened. Never quit asking, seeking or knocking if it is a promise in scripture. Many times, God builds amazing trust and closeness with us in the seeking and sets us up for bigger things after He answers the request. Things that we may not have believed for or stepped into if He granted it immediately. He knows what is best for us in the way and timing, but He still honors His promise and His Word.
Jesus declared another promise if we don’t stop asking, seeking or knocking.
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11:13 NKJV
What Jesus has declared is, that even though at times in your life you have been influenced by evil, yet you know good gifts, do you think that He who is perfect won’t give more of the gift of the Holy Spirit to those who ask.
Yes, the Holy Spirit is a gift to us due to the Works of Jesus Christ. Has anyone ever given themselves to you as a gift? God is a good Father hungry to fill His children with Himself so they live in abundance of life, peace and truth with Him in intimacy and alignment with His heart and thoughts.
Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off"
Acts 2:38-39 NASB, emphasis mine.
If He is a gift, you don’t pay for the gift, the giver pays or provides it. You can only receive or ask. So I encourage you to ask. Realize, Jesus just said to ask for more of the Holy Spirit, even though you have received Him as a believer previously. Jesus is showing, that more of the Holy Spirit’s presence and gifting will increase upon your life as you ask, seek and knock. Seek Him for More today, let it start with belief and asking.
Based on Jesus’ words in Luke 11, Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 14:1 and the promise of Joel 2:28, you have the green light from God to ask for this gift. He wants you to step into this promise, so you will have closer intimacy and oneness with Him. He wants to give it for those purposes to ALL His children. That through an opening of your ears, eyes, your mind, and your heart, you will see dreams and visions and have conversations with the Lord via the Holy Spirit who He as given to those who have believed in Jesus Christ.
If you are a believer of Christ Jesus and know Him as Lord, and you have not experienced this in your life, you have the green light from God to believe this is for you and to ask. He wants to give it to you, believe and receive. He wants you to hear and see with His eyes, that can only happen via Holy Spirit releasing this gifting in you. Desire it and ask. It is a pathway to greater knowing and intimacy with God.
I prophesy that God is going to release His Spirit upon ALL Flesh, so that levels of intimacy and personal relationship between Him and His children are multiplied, so that salvation, sanctification, sending and spiritual warfare is carried out by more of Him, and less of you. This is coming quickly. His heart is to see this established. I encourage you, ask today for this gift.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord,“Jeremiah 29:11-14 NIV
Father, you are a Good Father, because of this, you give good promises and you honor those promises. I ask in the name of Jesus, that you will release the gift of your Holy Spirit upon your son or daughter today that is reading this word and upon ALL Flesh as your word says. That greater measures of intimacy between them and you will be experienced due to your Holy Spirit encountering them with your loving and guiding heart and releasing your eyes and ears of prophetic gifting into their lives. Fill them with your light, fill them with your Spirit and release your presence and this gifting into them I ask in Jesus’ name.

Fast and Listen to Him
We encourage you to consider fasting and praying. It will ignite a fire if you fast and pray and seek. The things He wants to change will be exposed quickly and Holy Spirit will increase quickly. Fasts are not done to get something from God. They are done to get a person inline with Holy Spirit so things flow.
We encourage your prayer to be two way. Spend a large portion of time listening to Him in stillness or waiting for Him to begin speaking. Set conditions of quietness.
We recommend a lifestyle fast of giving up social media, internet, TV, alcohol, hobbies for personal reasons and pleasures for a period of time.
We encourage you to do a food fast if your health allows it. A 21 day Daniel Fast is a great way to start. Eat nothing pleasurable, no meat, drink no wine. Or Skip a meal a day.
In those days, I, Daniel, had been mourning for three entire weeks. I did not eat any tasty food, nor did meat or wine enter my mouth, nor did I use any ointment at all until the entire three weeks were completed. Daniel 10:2-3
